Chicago 139 Productions announced that Angie Campbell has joined the cast of Staydream, taking over the role of Alex.
Born in Milwaukee, this Chicago-based actress originally studied psychology before returning her focus to her passion: acting. Ms. Campbell now pursues acting and improv full time. She has since appeared in a variety of short films and web productions, as well as the television show Chicago Fire.
Initially hearing about Staydream through a friend, Ms. Campbell was excited to audition for the role of Alex, stating, “I was immediately drawn to Staydream’s quick, witty writing and characters that felt real.”
Future episodes of Staydream are currently in pre-production.

“I really enjoyed the episode. … The jumps into fantasy are really great — I didn’t expect them, which was fun and surprising.”

Check out what Hollywood actor Oliver Robins had to say about Staydream!
Oliver Robins, best known for his role as “Robbie” in the original Steven Spielberg production of “Poltergeist,” as well as “Poltergeist II,” and the feature comedy “Airplane II,” had an opportunity to check out “Staydream.”
We’re excited to hear what a seasoned filmmaker has to say about “Staydream” while he’s finishing up his most recent horror film “Celebrity Crush” which will be released in 2018, and which Mr. Robins wrote, directed, and stars in.
Here are some of Mr. Robins’ thoughts on Staydream…
“As a USC Film Alum, “Staydream” hits close to home for me — after being accepted to the cinema school, my family had a financial crisis and my tuition money disappeared over night. After a miracle occurred, I was able to attend the famed institution. With that said, this endearing story will connect with anyone with passion and hopes, and the unrelenting desire to pursue those dreams.”

Post-production work has been completed on the pilot episode of Staydream and the producers have set a date for the premier. Chicago 139 will make the link public on its website on December 4, 2017.
“I could not be happier with the result of the hard work we’ve put into this production,” said Dave Grundgeiger, executive producer of Staydream and founder of Chicago 139 Productions. “We set out to develop a project that is funny and that is rich in story and characters, and I believe we have accomplished that. Our inspirations are Master of None, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, New Girl, and 30 Rock.”
